After the decadence - a nice High Street Blog Post Today!

Hi Lovelies,

We went to a very wet cold and rainy Brighton. But atleast that meant there were some available spaces in the car park which you never get in the summer months!

51 Shades of Grey

We went to a Vegetarian Restaurant for Lunch - Food for Friends :)

It was dark by 5 and walking down the lanes looking in the stores did make it feel
a little bit Christmassy!

There are a few little things that I like just now.

I fell completely for the Balmain Embellished Trousers but could
not even begin to think about a pair of trousers that cost over £4k!

Balmain Embellished Velvet Pants £4045!

But these beauties give the baroque look for a lot less bucks!

Premium Embroidered Skinny Jeans Topshop £85

and I adore this dress (would look nice with my new bag - have I mentioned it today heheehee!!)

Pocket Dress with Crystal Flower Collar - Sister Jane at Asos £82

Pearl Collar Blouse (available in Navy & Cream) £30

and these are as cute as can be!

Aura Suede Boots with Curved Heel £55

Have you seen anything fabulous this week

The one where the girl gets the Hermes Bag ...........

Hi Lovelies,

How was your Sunday? That extra hour in bed was amazing, but being dark before 5pm is going to take some getting used to.

The girls had a fabulous day at Comic Con, they both came home and went for a nap and are still there ....... !

We went out for a really nice brunch earlier - French Toast with fresh fruit on top, crispy bacon on the side and covered in Maple Syrup - it was delicious!

But it was only the warm up to my main event today. Which was picking up MY Hermes bag!

Yes gorgeous ones! I have found it ..............

I have bored you senseless on Twitter debating whether I should go with the Birkin (gorgeous but can be a little bit heavy) or the Kelly (timeless, and named after one of my most favourite icons on the planet).

If you are making a pretty massive investment - you do ALOT of research! Boys do it with cars and gadgets - we do it more with pretty things. And I love that part - it makes it feel like a real event.

The problem for me on this occasion is that Hermes had no stock of either bag so I could not even try them out to compare - not even a floor model at the moment! So I stalked fashion forums to see how real people got on with the bags.

I loved the romantic notion of a Vintage Hermes - just think of the life that it has had, the things it had seen, and the stories it could tell heheeee. But with the romantic notion comes the huge worries - would it have been looked after? or be in a rubbish condition or the absolute worst thing for me - be from a smokers home and stinky (I just could never love a bag however amazing it was - if it smelt even faintly of cigarette smoke!)

The more I thought about vintage the more I knew it had to be a Kelly. I absolutely still want a Birkin (who doesn't) but I know that my Birkin needs to be new and I need to be able to try one beforehand so that I  know EXACTLY what size to get, and that is going to take a little bit of time to do! How amazing to one day have the best of both worlds - a Vintage handmade Kelly Bag AND a Birkin - thats the dream right there!

I love everything about the Kelly. It is the bag that takes the most time for Hermes to make (only 1 person works on each bag from start to finish and it takes 40 hours if anybody is interested! - 5 hours is taken to just make the handle) and I love the fact it was named Kelly as it was the bag that Princess Grace of Monaco used to hide her pregnancy from the world ...... Every stitch is hand stitched  in a saddle stitch so that if one stitch pulls, the next one cannot come undone - and the hardware is tooled so that every nail has to be finished to look like a tiny pearl .... that kind of attention to detail makes me want to dance!

Vintage Hermes Kelly Bag 32cm in Gulliver Black Leather with red trim!!!!

I hope you like the pictures.

Readers - I struck Hermes gold!!!

I truly can't believe how amazing my new bag is
Absolutely beautiful condition and absolutely no odours heheheeee!
Is it possible to have complete bag perfection - because I feel like this one is ....

It is pretty safe to say I am one of the happiest, luckiest girls ever!

Remembered to put the clocks back ..........

Morning Lovelies,

And how good was the extra hour in bed this morning!

I am feeling remarkably sober after a night out last night at a birthday party, which was good fun.
Although I may have eaten a serious amount of Giant Chocolate Buttons late last night when we got home. BUT, when the clocks went back those calories were lost in the time space continuum .............. so it is all good ;)

Both our girls have got up early to go to the final day of Expo, which is a comic convention! So I am looking forward to seeing their piccies later as lots of people dress up. Elli has dressed in a Manga kind of style! But it makes for a quiet day Chez Jools.

It was freezing out last night. My daughter the style guru told me that I 'must' wear a dress, as it is a party  - and who was I to argue (well, my legs did if I am honest - they argued with it quite a lot, they were so cold!) but brave it I did! Jools Wore

Red seam waist dress £50 - just in at Topshop
Its soo nice! Really thick material, so perfect for winter

and the Ring that I had ordered from Sworovski arrived already, so I tried that out
(yes I know it is for the wedding, but it matched and I don't wear red often!)

and finished with Patent Louboutin's :)

So, PC and I are going to take advantage of a quiet day and go out for brunch.

I am going somewhere super exciting later! I promise I will reveal all very soon!

What are your Sunday Plans?

Pretty Jewellery for a dull Friday

Hello Lovelies,

I had such a fun shop. You might recall that I was looking for some Jewellery to wear for the wedding in December? I had tried the Kenneth Jay Lane pieces from The Outnet. Well, they were sadly not me at all (I love the Outnet though, they make returns so simple)

So a little shopping trip was in order!!

So off I toddled to the Swarovski store. Nobody else makes things sparkle and twinkle inside a shop the way they do! I wanted ideally some pieces of Jewellery with an Art Deco feel to them (without giving anything away) and I was so happy to find these.

The first piece I cannot take credit for, as I was originally thinking of staying with the emerald Green. But PC found this. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the piece to work everything else around.

Siam Red Crystal Pendant surrounded by clear crystals

'Sheila' Pendant - (all items from Swarovski) £112

This ring was a must have! Again, pure coloured Crystal and catches the
light beautifully.

Square Crystal 'Prime' Ring £107

Because the pendant is quite striking, I thought that dangly earrings may be too much with it
(even though they have a stunning pair in the same range!)

So I went for these instead. Same colour Siam Crystal and Clear Crystals, but not too big!

Swarovski 'Oceanic Light' Siam Pierced Earrings £69

and then I found out about this! They did not have it in store so I have placed an order for it and
it should arrive in a week or two.

'Sheila' Siam and Crystal Ring £112

I was really excited by my purchases!

and with another little splash of red sole!!!!

This was the set of earrings that I did not get? Do you agree it would have been a little
too much (they are quite dangly), even though they are stunning?

Thanks so much for reading. I am so looking forward to the weekend

And is anybody seeing Skyfall? xx
