Sugary Pastels

Hi Lovelies,

oooh, just writing the title made me crave fruit pastilles! And it certainly does not help that all of the colours coming through for Spring and Summer are glorious candy colours. It is like looking at a giant bag of sugared almonds that have come to tempt us …….

and tempt us they shall!

I came across an incredible dress from Halston Heritage earlier this week.
An absolute dream gown that is the nicest dress I have seen in ages

but you would need somewhere equally incredible to wear it …...

PC, we need to do something amazing for our anniversary in June so that I can wear this dress honey!

Cotton & Silk Faille Gown - Halston Heritage at Net-a-Porter £700

Lilac Petal Clutch - Burberry Prorsum £795

'Paulina" Patent Leather Christian Louboutin - £475

This little coat is perfection

Pastel Green Double Breasted Gabardine Coat - Carven £670

and this sugar coated lovely is also by Carven

Open Back Pastel Pink Cotton Dress - Carven £395

and of course, the High Street is also full of goodies

Apricot Scalloped Shorts - Topshop £32
(so tempted by these for my trip!!!!)

Powder Pink Patent Leather Flippy Skirt - Topshop Boutique £110

Sorbet Lemon Lace Shoulder Jumper - Topshop £38

Pale Pink Knitted Crop Jumper - Topshop £42

Pale Pink & Mint Green Bra - Topshop £20

Pink Knitted Quilted ZigZag Jumper - Topshop again £32

and lastly, I have been seriously tempted by (another) stunning Mulberry bag which has just been reduced further in the sale. It's at such a good price for Mulberry now! (Honestly)

I don't have any pale bags at all, and I have been looking for a new Alexa for a while.
This would be perfect with pretty much every outfit listed, and the sweet little Topshop set I got recently
(have I enabled myself enough yet)

Please Please help me decide (she said in her best Geordie Big Brother voice)

What do you think ???

Mulberry Suffolk in Bright Red

Hello Lovelies,

Another day of pouring rain and blowing gales - when is it all going to stop! I have never known this much rain. It is not even umbrella weather as the wind just turns them inside out.
I have decided that we should be allowed to hibernate for the entire January and perhaps some of February. Snow will be coming next ……...

How was your weekend?
I returned the Tom Ford bag on Saturday - Harrods make it super easy I must say, it was a very simple, stress free process and I did not have a single pang about seeing her put back on the shelf, so it was definitely the right decision.

And it meant that we could have Laduree for lunch!

A delicious way to spend some time

and my Isabel Marant cardigan is getting so much use in this cold weather
I absolutely love wearing it

The super cute Mulberry flats that I wanted for our trip have arrived.
They are absolutely perfect for the beach.

It seems just implausible that I will be wearing these in 3 weeks time!

So the search for a new bag was back to where it started - with the Mulberry Suffolk.
I should never have deviated!

I adored the Bluebell but could not decide between that one and the new S/S 2014 Bright Red.
The red has gold hardware and the Bluebell was silver.

Well readers - if you hadn't already guessed from the title - I went for the red!!!

It just worked with an awful lot of my wardrobe
and felt warmer and more wearable for right now.

It was a tough choice as I loved them both - but the red just seemed to pop more!

plus it worked with my accessories - and matches my Mulberry purse perfectly!

with the Bright Red Suede Lining - well I couldn't put it down

It will be coming on holiday with us, and I cannot wait to use it for Valentine's day
with a Tea Dress

I wanted to say a huge Thank you and a shout-out to Wheelers. Their level of service is second to none and they are so helpful, friendly and informative about the entire Mulberry range - I highly recommend them. Next time you are looking to buy a Mulberry you should consider them - they really are great.

Charlotte Olympia Clutch Bag - making your five a day fun !

Hi Lovelies,

It is cold, grey and miserable outside - which means it is proving very difficult to find much in the way of summery items in the stores - making my mission to find pieces for a hot trip a tad hard!
I have never had to try and buy things this much out of season before - it is a little bit challenging.

I went out with Mum yesterday and we managed to find these little bits though.

This lightweight Playsuit was exactly what I was looking for

Floral Print Playsuit - Miss Selfridge £39

and this great little find in the Zara Sale

Embroidered Dress - Zara Reduced from £39.99 to £12.99

and the Kelly Brook for New Look Swimwear actually came out yesterday.
These sell out fast as they are a great cut at a great price.
I chose this one

Kelly Brook Navy Polka Dot Bikini Top & Bottoms - New Look

Not surprisingly, there were no summery sandals around, but I found these cuties online at Mulberry.
They are perfect for around the pool and walking on the beach

Mulberry Bow T-Bar Jelly Sandals in Pistachio

and lastly, I must confess to ordering this the second I found out about the trip.
I have loved it from afar for ages, but this trip meant I had the perfect excuse to buy something so pretty! It will be great for summer too.

It is also my first piece from Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia Watermelon Clutch

I cannot wait to carry it - it is the only evening purse I shall take with me to Hawaii

Did I do good???
