The Postman always rings twice!!!!!

Hi Lovelies,

How is your week going?

Mine is going good. Both girls have had their friends over this week, so there is lots going on and lots of giggling (and an amazing smell of Pizza Hut just now. I have a question - Why does Pizza always smell so much better than it tastes?) They seem happy though and there was definitely none left for me!

As promised, I have some things to share

Hello Lovely Parcels ............

I was very excited to receive this little delivery. I am beyond obsessed (I know that I may have banged on a few times) with the Burberry A/W 12 campaign. I want everything to go with my studded gloves.
I am on the look out for some tweed Pencil Skirts, but the piece I really wanted was the Bow Belt.
At £275 for Velvet or silk though it was just too hard to justify the Burberry one (however gorgeous it is!)

So I spent quite some time finding a little alternative ruched style!

I love this - so quirky, and the equestrian theme is very NOW!

Best of all, it was reduced to £7 on ASOS! I am tempted to also order it in the larger size too so that it can be worn over the top of heavy coats and jackets - just like on the Burberry Catwalk!

I have had my eye on this beautiful Vivienne Westwood dress since the My-Wardrobe Sale began.
I have it in the Red from last season and the fit is just beautiful!

So, I kept an eye on it, and it was reduced to 50% and disappeared. Then MyWardrobe had an extra 20% off event on all sale items and it became re-available - surely a sign .......... (yes PC, it is!)

Vivienne Westwood Tassel Fond Dress
Original price was £315. Sale Price (with extra discount) was £127!
I may wear it for dinner on PCs Birthday x

and finally, some pictures of my Zara boots that I hope will work with dresses now
and then through to Autumn x

oooh and now I have this weeks glossy magazines to indulge in - YAY x

Thanks for reading x

Monday 30 July 2012

Just another manic Monday!

Hi Lovelies,

Another fabulously warm day today. I can barely remember the poor weather now ...........

And we have the Olympics to make the days fly by. Can we have them on ALL the time please, I am really enjoying it!

I watched the Gymnastics today, it was so tense - real, heart in mouth stuff. GB were incredible to get that Bronze Medal. I am in awe of their amazingness (and their arms!)

Zara Phillips was also incredible today. She jumped clear in the allowed time and revealed that it was also her first Wedding Anniversary. Celebrations will have to wait one more day, as she goes into the Show Jumping round tomorrow.

She had a few family members cheering her on today!!

Love the idea that Anne has her cucumber sandwiches in the lunchbox and passes them to Papa!

Today Jools Wore my new (taken up substantially) Mulberry Jeans with a white broiderie anglais top :)

I saw this today and it really made me laugh - Louis Vuitton Waffle ANYONE!!!
How cute is this ......

My productive day just got better & better.
I scored these incredible Terry De Havilland Shoes in the final discount at Office.
They were reduced from £440 to £50 !!!!!

Terry De Havilland Suzi Wave Wedges

 Kate wore the Silver Version

Sales deliveries are taking up to 7 days, but I cannot wait to show you them. I have a red pair already and they are incredible shoes, so to score some at such a discount was amazing.

For anybody who likes Terry De Havilland, a couple of other styles are still available with massive discounts HERE!!!!

Kate had a super busy day. As well as cheering on cousin Zara this Morning, she left William and Harry to watch the men's gymnastics (ooh she missed some lovely fit boys!) and was pictured out in London for a Solo engagement attending a Creative Industries Reception. She wore a grey Roksanda Ilincic dress.

 Beautiful!

ooh and I have some reveals for you tomorrow, so don't forget to check back ......... !

Thanks for reading xx

Buttercup Prints and Mila Kunis for Dior .............

Hi Lovelies,

Well Day two of the Olympics and you can rely on the girls to get us on the Medals table! What fantastic achievements to get a Silver in the Cycling and a Bronze in the Swimming - Well done GB, I am loving watching it happen.

I am in awe of the new Mila Kunis ad campaign for Dior. She is so gorgeous, definitely one of my favourite actresses just now. Enjoy these gorgeous pictures!

It has been a really strange day weather wise, lots of heavy rain and some rumbles of thunder. Reports that it is because I have purchased my trench coat remain unconfirmed ........

It was still warm though, so another summer dress came out today (I am determined to wear every dress that is in my wardrobe at least once before this summer is out)

So today Jools Wore a silk buttercup print midi dress that I purchased from Topshop last summer, with a Mulberry leather Rivet Belt.

I love the print on this dress x

And I have to show you some close ups of the Blush Satin Underwear set that arrived (also from Topshop). I blogged about it earlier in the week and it is even nicer in real life - soooo freaking cute!

Blush Satin Harness Bralet £25, matching Knickers £18 - Both Topshop

Thanks so much for reading

I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend x

Big Reveal - I'm Only Happy When It Rains ...................... !

Hi Lovelies

When I was in London picking up my studded gloves last week, it was the first time that I truly appreciated the cut of Burberry clothes, I just was not that fussed about them before. Yes, I love the Britishness of them, but Burberry for me for a long time was ruined by the over the top Nova Check, and everything it represented.

But Christopher Bailey has helped make Burberry cool again. Emma Watson always looks beautiful, Kate Bosworth rocks it, and Rosie Huntingdon Whiteley 'almost' stays in her coat in the most recent campaigns. The amazing service that I received also helped too.

So, it got me thinking about a trench coat. And you 'know' what I get like when I start to thinking about something - it kind of becomes all consuming!

Now, I think of a trench coat as a grown up piece. Certainly, you are only ever going to own one as they are an investment. So it needs to be right ! I knew I did not want it too short even though they are popular right now - I want to be able to wear it with dresses, skirts and jeans. But I am only little, so a full length one would swamp me. Hmm lots of choices!

Then it is the decision of which Burberry brand to choose (it sure isn't easy you know!) Burberry Prorsum - certainly directional, but very very expensive. Burberry Brit - cheaper, but maybe more for teens or somebody dipping into Burberry. Or mainline Burberry - surely a classic that won't date.

I did what I always do in situations like this - I had a chat with Google!

2012 Burberry Ad Campaign

Candy Colours - divine, but perhaps not the most practical

Incredible Stud detailing on the arms - but my gloves are probably enough -
and this style would date ........

Too Short ......

This is the classic colour - but I am too clumsy for this (plus I have a Pug!)

Claire Danes for me - looks perfection

Beautiful detailing

How could anybody wear it better than Miss Piggy I ponder ..........

It helped to discount a lot of styles for me. Colour had to be darker, length had to be not full length and I personally did not want any Burberry check on it at all. I  I found this one .......

I hope you liked my reveal xxx

I am so happy with everything about this coat. It is just right for me. Not too long, fitted AND it has cool silver detailed buttons and is the right weight. My own particular perfect trench.

Now which one would you go for!
